Playing only in VR.

Just took the jump. The game plays awesome and performance is great. The microtransactions make me a bit leery but with how much of an advantage VR users have over phone users, you make money so quickly. You also get $20 worth of in game cash which will buy you everything.

The game is great for jumping in and playing rounds. Very fast loading and getting to the fun parts.

I absolutely love how you shoot better when you are holding the gun like a real paintball gun aiming down the side. The game feels great in that sense. What I think is missing is the urgency of getting to cover because the AI is not accurate enough.

The asyncronous PvP is also really neat for this. Multiplayer is hard for VR due to population so you can always have an active game no matter how many people are playing. Great game to just get in and play a few rounds.. Works right out day one, kinda rare for multiplayer games these days. Ai bots in actual online matches are good enought that it becomes difficult to spot the diffrence between them and the players. Only major complaint is they carried over the microtransaction system from the cell phone version but you can still get just about everything in the game that is of any real value gameplay wise if you got skill so its not a pay to win. graphics nothing to write home about but then again it does look silky smooth in multiplayer, no noticable lag spikes so far.

Gameplay is an odd hybrid of one hit your out tactical but still in your face fast paced and games go fast. Not quite tactical, not arcadish, only way to describe it is its really like a virtual paintball tournoment, but a lot cheaper.. I gotta say, it's glitchy as all hell, and the AI is SO bad!

But! If there's some people behind this that are willing to put some time into it.. This game could be fun as hell.

I don't play a ton of VR games, but the left joystick movement in this is heaps better than say the teleport movement in Robo-whatever. The right joystick is for rotating direction, and it shuddered for me. The range of your shots are unrealistically short as well.

I played for ~10 mins, and I was having a blast.

I grew up playing paintball, and the original Greg Hastings game was the 'Tony Hawk Pro Skater' of our sport. About as good as it's going to get anyway. I say polish this sucker up.

'If you make it, they will come.'. THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER! The "multiplayer" is you playing against bots and trying to get a higher score than a different human playing against their own bots. THERE IS NO PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER IN THIS GAME. Im capitalizing and repeating that to emphasize the point because games description says "multiplayer". Don't bother. This game is a straight port from a cell phone game. There is zero depth or purpose and the game is setup for micro transactions and to advertise with spam. THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER. You dont even have hands in the game. Just your gun mapped to where your controller is. The reload is just some automatic junky animation. There is literally no reason for anyone to buy this game. If you like paintball, either go play real paintball or play a game like rec room. If you like first person shooters, you could play ANY OTHER first person shooter and have a better experience. When I say that they just ported a game from a cell phone to VR, I mean it. There is NOTHING here. I love paintball. I was looking forward to this game when I first saw it. It sucks.. A mobile port that should've stayed mobile. The video and images on the store page is from the mobile app also.
The mobile version is free already, just riddled with microtransactions. There's also no real "multiplayer". In-game, you play against bots, but you also compete with real players on a leaderboard to get the most bot eliminations.

When you shell out $10 to get this game on desktop, you're just paying to have mouse & keyboard controls while also being able to play in VR, and the game isn't really fun either way.. I tried this, and was instantly put off by how menus and interface looked. The controller worked poorly and the gameplay was, lacking. It looks decent ingame, and had nice soft physics on the bunkers. I want a paintball game like this, but I think this is a rather poor showing so far. I have played earlier Greg Hastings Paintball games, and had fun altho i always somewhat found them lacking, this game seems more stripped and barebones than it.

I cant reccomend this game in its current state.

and you get used to it.

You need a strong stomach in VR player can go prone, crawl, and kneel which can be disorienting.

  Devblog #2. Progress report and a few things about Dwarves.:
  Now, to continue down the road from Devblog #1[iratus.org], we will tell you a bit about the progress we've made and what we'll be working on next. Last week we've implemented a small balance patch. Those of you who have alpha-access might have noticed the changes but we would like to discuss them in more detail.
  
  In addition, we continue to work on the Dwarven Floor. There you’ll meet some already familiar enemies: Berserker, Musketeer and Heavy Firethrower but also the previously announced Oracle and Hammerer. We are currently working to add a new enemy and a new boss to the game, presented below.
  
  
  
  Alchemist
  
  The Alchemists of the guild are the chief authority in dwarven society and preside over the mining operations beneath the castle, where they are given permission to do as they please by the humans above. Once they realized the problem posed by the necromancer, they have stepped in to deal with the problem personally, lest the rise of Iratus be blamed on them and the humans use this opportunity to renegotiate the terms of their agreement. It also provides them with the welcome opportunity to test some of their more dangerous concoctions on whole horde of subjects.
  
  
  
  Treasurer
  
  One of the few remaining members of the dwarven aristocracy, a true dwarven blue-blood. It certainly does not make him any more virtuous than his brethren but he more than makes up for it with his vast amount of wealth. The alchemists guild does not much like the remaining nobles, seeing as they represent the legacy of the former power but as long as they can get them to dance to their tune, they are allowed to keep their estates. In turn, the nobles benefit too, allegiance to the alchemists guild brings with it untold riches and gold is a wonderful motivator, even (or maybe especially) for the richest dwarf.
  
  
  
  Update
  
  Last week's patch was focused on optimization and balance.
  
  First, we lowered the volume of the intro because so many Twitch streamers complained about it. We hear you! ;)
  
  We’ve also added hotkeys to skill slots.
  
  
  
  Bride of Iratus got a slight buff. Now she is taking 2 steps back when using her “Overwatch” skill and you can use it in any position (1-4).
  
  
  
  In addition, her ultimate ability “Rose For a Lady” can also be used in any position (1-4). In this way we have wanted to make Bride of Iratus better suited to situations where you only have got 2 minions alive in your party, or even only her.
  
  
  
  Our Head Hunter has also been rather underused due to his low accuracy and random attacks. But, trust us, he is not that bad, he simply has no head!   During the alpha test we received a huge amount of feedback and realised that we can make Iratus: Lord of the Dead even better, but this requires the most valuable resource – time.   We seek to take into account all wishes that we received during the alpha test but polishing the game is also time-consuming.
  
  Our team is actively working on balancing and also making a new content for the third floor. We will begin the beta tentatively in December and we expect to receive a lot more feedback to continue the polishing. The Early Access of Iratus: Lord of the Dead will begin in February 2019 so that everyone will be able to play and help us refine the project.

  The Inventor
  
  
  
  One of the chief sponsors of the mining complex beneath the human castle, he thus bears a great deal of responsibility for freeing Iratus from his eternal prison. Not that anyone would dare remind him of this fact, since his keen mind has been deemed invaluable by the Alchemists Guild. After all, few can actually calculate the precise amount of explosive power needed to clear a tunnel without causing a cave-in. But now that he is personally forced to try and salvage this venture, he has turned his great intellect to far more warlike pursuits.
  
  The Pyromancer
  
  
  
  Magic is the expression of the soul, as such most wizards practice the kind of powers to aggrandize themselves. Far fewer opt to go down the path of pyromancy, as that demands you set your soul ablaze. Having a reputation for being rather dangerous and unstable, pyromancers are usually kept far away from civilization lest you want to deal with one or two city-wide firestorms. As such they often ply their trade as mercenaries in any company brave enough to take them. Things must be getting desperate if even these fire-eyed spellwielders are called upon to join fight against Iratus.

  In our previous devblog we introduced you to the Dwarven Floor and the many new enemies within, which are certain to oppose Iratus in his quest for vengeance and destruction. This time, we would like to show you a few new minions that were created by our exasperated necromancer. Well... they were really designed by our Lead Artist. At the moment we are working on their abilities and animations and we hope to update you on the result in our future devblogs!
  
  
  
  Ghoul
  
  A ghoul is a surprisingly proud predator, seeing themselves as the apex on the food chain. Stronger, faster and sleeker than any mortal or undead, they have the attitude of particularly lazy cats, wanting the world to revolve around them. In the end, only the threat of utter destruction can make them remember their place as servants of Iratus.
  
  
  
  Bone Golem
  
  A bone golem is actually a compromise. Normally it is not possible to craft an undead such as this without an equally large body to serve as the foundation (and there are precious few giants around). Only Iratus discovered a way around this limitation: the golem is made of several bodies, held together by the forces of decay and entropy, constantly crumbling and regenerating to maintain its form. Living in a constant cycle, these creatures would make for interesting subjects of philosophical study, were they not far more effective on the battlefield.
  
  Work process
  
  We're still working hard to bring you new updates, which will include bug fixes and fresh content.
  
  As you know, the Bride of Iratus is hysterically jealous and won’t let anyone get close to her beloved lord. Our archer will receive a feature which increase her accuracy against female enemies.
  
  Furthermore, the Shade will get its own rework in order to diversify its tactical applications. We would like to make this minion more interesting for our players. For example, the Shade will now move enemies when using his skill “Dark Light”.
  
  
  
  If you played the alpha or watched the streams, you’ve probably noticed that the Heavy Firethrower causes a lot of pain, especially when he begins the fight in the first position. Don't worry, it won't happen again! Our apologies :)
  
  
  
  Following our players' requests we are also going to add the ability to skip your turn, to hopefully diversify your tactical arsenal. In an upcoming update will add a “Wait” button that will allow your minion to move in the end of the initiative que.
  
  
  
  We made tooltips to show hit chance and critical damage on a particular enemy. You will be able to turn tooltips on and off in the settings menu.
  
  
  
  Finally, our Save Menu has become more convenient.

  If you are a fan of SLRR, then this is for you. I hope im not offending the dev of this game by saying that, but this game made me think of SLRR.
  
  I know it is still early days, but this is all ready solid and imo it will only get better from here.

  The people who say pay to win?? I say rubbish I have won several races(not drag) with lower spec cars, based on skill.
  If you pay you just short cut your way to the top. The main objective is to grind your way by racing others and you still win money even if you lose, just less that's all!
  
  LOVE IT - 10 OUT OF 10. I've been looking for a game to rival Street Legal Racing: Redline and this has so much potential but I can't recommend it in the slightest.
  Pros:
  -The drag racing is fun when you can find someone
  -The tuning is okay
  
  Cons:
  -The servers are dead and, being as racing other people is the only way of progressing, you cannot progress.
  -If you do happen to find someone, 90% of the time they will have a way better car than you.
  -You cannot properly earn money until you win 10 races which, following on from my last point, is nearly impossible.
  -The upgrade system is almost all cosmetic and when you do get into performance upgrades, it is based on the worst system I've ever seen in a racing game, performance upgrades come in stages and each stage has a lower success rate than the last. If you fail, you are sent back to the beginning. In a game about upgrading every aspect of your car this just doesn't work.
  -Finally, the game employs the tactics of most mobile games with a daily reward and hints that to make any actual progression you must pay for in game money.
  
  Avoid at all costs until devs sort this mess out.. only three words needed... PAY TO WIN!!!. Yeah a good game. Worth the price. Still a little buggy, I kept getting run-time errors which caused me to request a refund. Has tons of potential, but the main online racing scene can get a bore with constantly grinding to earn dollars to upgrade. What they need to focus on is a campaign mode, which should be versing NPC vehicles instead of online players. As this game is like an updated version of Street Legal Redline Racing.
  
  I found it extremely fun, I know it's focusing on being online only. But make it single-player also. Just like redline racing did. And fix the run-time errors and I'll re buy the game, at a higher cost!
